“My son attends Flare Gymnastics and thoroughly enjoys going. We were delighted to hear about Louise starting her own club and signed up immediately.

My son is on the spectrum and suffers with anxiety and confidence issues, together with motor tics. Any club can be quite a stressful social situation for him. Having worked with Louise and her team at another location, he was already familiar with her and some of the coaches and has settled in very well, given that fact. He has been made to feel at ease by all staff.

First of all, I was surprised at the number of coaches available at every session. This club is highly staffed and I find this helps to formulate a regular routine and structure to the class. The rotation in activities during the session, in small groups, helps my son immeasurably. The way they carry out classes is brilliant at ensuring all the children are engaged at all times.

As well as doubting himself on most of the moves, having a fear of any height, (lower beam included), my son is also bigger than the other children. This has NEVER had an impact on his inclusion throughout every session. Louise and her team ensure he takes part is EVERY activity and sequence they are doing. Not only that, they allow him the time he needs to redirect and focus himself and the chance to try again when needed.

They offer fantastic encouragement, assistance and support when he is insisting he cannot do it. When he hears “See, you CAN do it” the pure joy and sense of achievement is beautiful to see written all over his face!!

I cannot thank Louise and her team enough for their patience, and help and always ensuring my son is included, making sure he does every task, exactly as all the other children are doing, despite sometimes this being a bit of a challenge for them.

If you are considering a gymnastics class, I would most definitely recommend Louise and her team of coaches. They are amazing!!!”
