Louise has over 20 years experience of coaching gymnastics across a range of disciplines to children from the age of 5 months to 18 years. She is passionate about passing on her love of gymnastics and believes the key to keeping children engaged in the sport is to keep the sessions fun and to motivate the children to achieve their potential no matter what their ability.

SHARLENE CLARKE

Qualifications
- Level 1 General Gymnastics
Sharlene began her gymnastics journey when her daughter joined Flare Gymnastics Club 3 years ago. She decided she could ‘help out’ and is now a qualified Level 1 coach. Sharlene’s background is dance, particularly highland dancing, but you will find her mainly in an exercise class at the local gym. Being fit and mentally strong is important to Sharlene and she hopes this passes on to the gymnasts.

EVELYN WHEELER

Qualifications

Evelyn joined gymnastics when she was around 6 years old with a friend. It helped her grow from a shy child into a confident teenager.
When Evelyn started coaching she realised how much she enjoys working with children and it has inspired her to choose Child development and social care as part of her GCSE options.
SOPHIE HODSON


Qualifications

Sophie started gymnastics at 4 years old doing recreational and was selected to be part of the artistic squad, she moved onto Acrobatic Gymnastics and trampolining at around 7 years old.
For the last 6 years she has been Tumbling with Southampton Gymnastics club. After achieving Gold at the regional prelims she qualified to represent the southern region (twice) in the English championships and at the British Semi finals.
She trains four times a week and is always working hard to learn and develop new skills. She enjoys coaching as it gives her the opportunity to help young gymnasts achieve their goals.

- Helpers Award Trampolining
Aissa started doing gymnastics when she was 4 years old. She now attends trampolining classes at the club. She is currently at Applemore College and is studying GCSE PE. She enjoys helping the younger children and seeing them develop their trampolining skills. She also enjoys developing her own trampolining skills. Aissa recently attended the Helpers course which has aided her in her knowledge of supporting gymnasts.

Debbie Hugh…. lover of all things fitness. Performed at ballet competitions until 16, then kickboxed at a local club for 20 years and enjoyed horseriding throughout her life and currently!
Debbie began coaching when her daughter joined Flare Gymnastics and is very keen on taking part in all the condititoning exercises within the sessions and actively encourages all the gymnasts to try their very best!

Adrienne got involved in gymnastics when her daughter started attending gymnastics classes from the age of 4. More recently she has been helping out at the club’s trampolining classes. She is an exams invigilator so has experience of working with young adults. She has enjoyed taking an active role and becoming more involved at the club.
